It may blow over for some, but regardless, unless I eventually have no viable choice, I absolutely will not purchase another vehicle without Carplay.

The problem is the Supreme court years ago came up with the doctrine of qualified immunity which has been expanded to more or less say that unless the exact, specific scenario has come up before, then the police get a free pass to violate someone’s civil rights and can’t be held accountable.
Since I've been watching Picard, I'm really keen on Speelers as Bond. Looks like he just turned 35.
And sadly all that can be done in CAD.
I saw two people going at it on a rock(boulder?) in the woods outside the amphitheater in Bristow, VA during the tailgate before a Buffett show a few years back, so that tracks.
I would bet this is less (or at least equal parts) for them to make money off this new service, bit instead it is to convince people who are against the current paid options like you, to start subscribing as it will not seem so thirsty. If you can convince a lot of people to see $10 a month as the new normal they can…
You can let people decide because they might pick the other option. They learned this from politicians I guess.
It will be “seamless”. They said you’ll still be able to use bluetooth to make calls and stream audio, LOL. I think it will connect automatically but I haven’t used it in however many years since Carplay came out. This is such a massive takeaway of functionality sending back to the tech of 20 years ago.
There was a period of a few years where the manufacturers had the option of either the passive seatbelt or an airbag.
There are ways to do the auto stop/start well. Our 2019 Wrangler has it and it uses a belt driven starter/generator with a battery back. It can silently and instantly start the engine and it also provides propulsive power under 1500 RPM. You can barely notice it at all.
So, your very poorly written comment is confusing, but it seems like you’re arguing that because Ethiopian Airlines didn’t somehow decide on their own the plane wasn’t safe, that the people that literally sat around tables and decided to send an unsafe plane into the world that they know was unsafe should get off scot…
The wheels I can maybe see if other cars were parked on each side. Maybe.
Just think if they made a Hellcat minivan!
I was thinking along those lines also. Seems like if some random guy can hack this together, dealing with the polarization filters along the way, that surely one of the TV companies could make this way better from scratch. The B/W behind the color is pretty smart.
That’s totally valid and more people should demand that, but compared to so many other killings of citizens by police, where people had their hands up, were completely subdued and passed out or just plain minding their own business, this looks pretty justified. But if cops aren’t trained to be-escalate, they’re going…
So interesting how when it’s a white guy the “comply and no harm will come to you” people have a different story.
As automakers seem to want to do more and more features behind paywalls, this is something they should probably consider.
Exactly! The article is going on about “connected” batteries for whatever that means, when the issue is DISCONNECTED loose batteries moving around and touching something. People don’t realize that negative and positive terminals are present on the end of the battery and it is very easy to short our especially if the…
Aren't automakers his main customers? He tears it down and they buy his books full of findings.
Once they realized how bad they forked up the first bill, this second one does supposedly fix the debt side of it.
