You are absolutely right. But in game development, there comes a time where (if you want your game to come out) you have to make cuts. Do we add X, Y and Z and release our game 6-10 months later? Or do we think what we have now can stand on it's own as a a solid experience?

You can have every ingame function outside of Chaos Mode which makes up ~10% of the game without being exploited.

You do for Chaos mode... But 90% of the game is available without "exploitation"

You can play 90% of the Sunset Overdrive without Xbox LIVE Gold or the paid membership. Not really that exploitative...

Dont get me wrong, I love the look too! It is just not all games benefit from it. I think Game of Thrones would've benefited from a more realistic look sorta like Life Is Strange... And the comic book/cell shaded look isn't going to benefit the Minecraft game either. In my opinion at least.

The engine they use needs to be overhauled sooner rather than later. I understand TWD having that comic book look, but all their properties do not fit that look...
