Actually, I think the writer meant the "failure" reference to be ironic. Coke Zero, at least, is considered to be one of the most successful launches of a new brand in the last 20 years.

I so want to love SpringPad, but the iPhone app still lacks the option of adding an event with a date and time, as well as any kind of calendar view of scheduled tasks and events. (A calendar view is missing from both the iPhone app and the web interface, and the available GCal sync is a clunky work-around).

I'm one of the non-US readers that got fed up seeing posts about Google Voice and figured out this hack on my own last year. Like @Codplay is suggesting, I used my existing Skype online number for the US telephone no. that Google Voice requires. The forwarding to Skype works pretty well and I can answer Google Voice…

I'm in a market (Sweden) that has the iPhone 4 (as of July 30) but still no iPad. Several of my friends and I have wondered aloud how this will impact iPad sales when the device is finally available for sale here. This article and the follow-up comments pretty much confirms our suspicions.
