If I remember correctly he can handle a unitasker if there is no multitasker that will do the job reasonably.

He’s not as rigid as all that. He’s just against single use tools that really aren’t necessary, unlike a toaster. I mean, technically a blender is a single use item, except obviously it isn’t. Ditto toasters.
