@senorducklives: Well, most likely the truck would have rammed cars instead of bikes, which would likely just get pushed along instead of being dragged underneath. Being rear-ended in a car, even by such a large vehicle, is many times more survivable in a car than these poor cyclists.

I throw my hat in for any of the old MR2 models. Light weight, mid engine, rear wheel drive. It checks all the right boxes.
