Digital games are the exact same size as physical for the PS4. The game installs all the data when you insert a disc and then only checks it at startup to make sure you actually own it. So unfortunately you are going to run into the uninstall issue regardless.

I think it was supposed to be but if I remember correctly it got delayed. It was still pretty early though and, without other releases around it, the games tend to get more scrutiny.
