If we have to rely on birth control failure to keep the birth rate up, I’d rather let it tank. Of course this is coming from someone who intends to never have kids himself.

Two points:
1. Some people hate condoms so much they’re willing to risk STDs to avoid them (especially once in a monogamous relationship) - still beneficial to reduce the additional risk of pregnancy.
2. Every form of birth control has a failure rate, but it’s vastly more likely for a single type to fail than for…
I can see the argument if they’re talking about it as a supplement to existing birth control. The odds of fucking up 2 (or 3) forms of birth control simultaneously are a lot lower than fucking up just 1.
I know I felt a strong sense of relief when I got a vasectomy, even though my wife never stopped taking the pill -…
“what could possibly be worth this extra scrutiny and punishment?”
You could say that about most forms of civil disobedience. Historically it can pay off. Plus, since she’s choosing the time she exposes herself to extra risk, she very well could have arrangements in place to mitigate the negative impact of…
Because of the recoil?
I suppose it could stop a BB gun pellet?
No Darwin Award - genes already passed on.
“.50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol”
That is one solution. I think some people would object to the implication there, arguing that a trans woman’s gender is just “woman”, and that “attracted to trans” shouldn’t be a treated as a separate option on orientation selections. I personally disagree, but I can see where they are coming from.
Hm...that could work. They would either need to add some sort of “I am trans” checkbox or search the profiles for keywords. Former would be more reliable, since catching all of the variations of phrasing (without casting too wide a net) can be tough.
I suppose it would at least still weed out bots who are banned.
Only problem I can see with removing auto-ban is that it will take longer for abusive people (and scammers) to be banned from the site, if banning can only happen after human review.
What does that have to do with anything?
“Somehow, in his head, the fact that he would never do this stuff now makes it OK to lie about what he did then.”
I think self-preservation makes it okay to lie, in his head. Most people don’t want to be punished, regardless of how justified it is.
“in a state where the age of consent is 17.”
Phrasing it like this makes consent sound more like a legal construct than a truth about whether harm occurred.
I’m just horrified how so many adult humans could support Trump. What exactly is he bringing to the table that’s worth overlooking any sin?
I thought Virtue/Moir and Papadakis/Cizeron had more difficult programs (or at least programs with higher maximum score), didn’t they?
WTH was that Bobrova/Soloviev blind-woman dance though?
I think the implication was in the opposite direction, that would be harder for pairs with incompatible orientation to be sensual with each other on the ice.
Far from an expert, but I’d imagine it would be at least slightly easier with two men, assuming you could find a suitably smaller guy. Would be easier to keep a good muscle:weight ratio.
