Ah, I disagree. Raids are pretty easy after you know the mechanics. Eventually, you memorize where enemies spawn, when boss stuff happens, and where you need to be. Anyone can use a hand cannon. Not claiming I’m skilled at all. Destiny isn’t a skill based game? Then what is? COD? lol.

Vex is still insanely powerful at low-to-mid range. Anywhere outside of mid range and you’ll get dominated by thorn. Thorn is AAA at mid-to-long range, but at short range it’s almost always a kill trade (by poison) or the thorn guy goes down if they miss the headshot.

If it didn’t require skill, then there wouldn’t be a leaderboard.

I somewhat agree with you. To be good with auto rifles now takes a lot of skill. The people who complain about thorn/hand cannons are not the skilled auto rifle players though...

Scout rifles are absolutely not worthless in PVP. I’ve seen people who are gods with MIDA and I like to use fang in pvp every now and then for longer range encounters. Hand cannons (fatebringer hehe) are god in PVE too..

Yes, yes, I’ve been told that several times. The difference in opinion is one match (one wipe) =/= one game. One game is best of 5 against a single team of 3. To this end, it would be 7 wins (with the boon of osiris and whatever the other thing is called that gives you a free win).

How are PVP and PVE different playstyles? Or do you mean how do PVP skills transfer to PVE because PVP and PVE require different playstyles?

I use the last word, bad juju, hawkmoon, vex, and thorn. Thorn is a very good gun, but in certain situations and maps I can beat out most people who are using thorn with one of the above guns. It’s not OP. Hand cannons require skill in pvp. Git gud or keep hoping for suros to become a shadow of it’s former self.

PVP skills transfer over to PVE. “PVE-only” players who are bad at PVP are probably mediocre at best at PVE...just saying.

If you’re not willing to pay $60, you won’t like the game.
