So...art can only be art if it's made by one person? Nothing collaborative can be art? What a pointlessly narrow definition.

Rhianna Pratchett is a superhero and a huge inspiration to me. I hope I get the chance to meet her someday.

Hi. I work at a well-known video game studio as a narrative designer. I am literally the "idea girl" you're talking about. And imagine - they hired me KNOWING that I was female!

I'm feeling a little choked up. It's so sweet that Pratchett's daughter is able to carry on his legacy, it must be such a comfort to him. She's grown up with his novels and I'm sure she'll do a great job. I'll continue to buy discworld novels as I've done for years, and I'll be rooting for her personally too.

I can attest to the fact that this game gets super challenging around the 600m mark. I'm currently in third place on the leaderboards, and I don't know how the guys in 1st and 2nd place managed it.

I love the 'thunk' it makes when you shove someone. It sounds super satisfying. I would seriously play this as catharsis after a long day riding the bus or something.

It's not that weird, I kinda dug it. They're definitely trying to tell a story with a particular aesthetic and mythic structure, but the story was pretty straightforward. Is this weird in the same vein as Kotaku's patented "Isn't Japan Weird?" stories?

These are super popular in Japan! They're called love hotels and you can get an hourly rate. The rooms are often themed. When I went to one with my boyfriend, we got a disco themed room. It had a tiny dance floor. There was an in-room vending machine where we bought pancake scented lube. Also, as we were leaving, we

You can easily mold wax with your thumb. Just wait a few seconds so you don't get burned.

Hey, this is my division! Too bad I'm graduating this year....at least subsequent generations of IMDers will be able to reap the benefit's of Richard's awesomeness.

I'm about to graduate from grad school with a great job lined up, the same company and team that I interned with last summer. My sweetie and I are moving up to Seattle and we're going to adopt a dog. So, yeah, at least in my case, the real world is more awesome and exciting than scary. :)

I totally get this. I'm pretty well-versed with Photoshop, but Illustrator is a completely different beast. It LOOKS similar, but it's really not. Cheers to you for taking the plunge!

Submitting my thesis videogame to a big independent games festival this weekend. The game is looking super great, but this festival is a big deal so I can't help but be nervous. Please wish me luck, Jezzies!

Apparently Japanese people are obsessed with KitKat, there are dozens and dozens of flavors that are Japan-only.

Love that dress. She is one classy lady.

It's a LITTLE clever. It rhymes, anyway.

So what's Up's hook? "The house...it flies!"? Is finding Nemo's "They're all fish!"? I'm personally super stoked for Brave, I think they're trying really hard to prove that they are real storytellers after the embarrassment of Cars 2.

Can any of you brilliant and witty Jezzies tell me if you've found a really cutting comeback to the whole "get me a sandwich" thing? My default instinct would be to google it, but apparently there's this HILARIOUS meme wherein people respond to posters asking this question with "just get him a sandwich" and other

I'm disappointed, because I thought this was going to be about urban legends about the games themselves. I eat that stuff up. Urban legends in real life are fun, but you always know on some level that they're bunk. With a video game, anything could be real. I remember the original Red and Blue Pokemon games had some
