For some Genres like FPS's and RTS's that might be true, but you'd be pretty hard pressed to argue that for a fighting game.

HOLY MOLEY!!! I'm watching the whole thing and just as I was thinking "I wonder if they managed to make the gravemind look decent" he shows up! Best addition far and away to the game. He looks way more like the initial concept art sketches bungie had in the art book and not at *all* like a giant stupid looking…
Rememeber how the shield system works in halo? Its not like Call of Duty's lifebars where you take 1 headshot and your dead.
If you didn't descope when you got shot the game would basically devolve into two guys spraying each other in the face for 5 seconds trying to remember who shot first. You can have a shield…
Another important distinction: last time I seriously played TF2 I'm pretty sure that every item you can get in the store *can* be crafted or found on a drop...you just have to grind it that much longer. 100% TF2 is the gold standard of F2p.
The thing that really put it over the top for me was the executions. There have been similar mechanics in other titles like the Punisher, but they're usually handled with a degree of levity that makes them entertaining and even hilarious at times.
Taking a thug and putting him up to an enraged rhino's cave to get him…
Batman should damn near always beat Superman for 1 simple reason: it makes for a better story.
Batman defeating Superman is raw human determination, willpower, and creativity overcoming an unwinnable 10-0 matchup against an S+ broken tier character whose main schtick is that he's invincible.
Benjamin Button did it better.
**** batgirl man....the risk/reward for that character is flat out stupid.
Haven't played KOTOR II in a long time and would have to refamiliarize myself with it before I had a long protracted debate (hopefully soon since I have the restoration mod ready and got it in a steam sale), but if I remember right it actually makes sense from her perspective because Darth Nihilus is basically a…
One of their central arguments about why Sonic is a fundamentally flawed design is that the game seems to be designed around the idea of speed and going fast...but the level design is such that you must go slow in order to not die constantly.
That is true...but I think its missing the real point of the sonic games:…
Some of the people replying saying "let it go" or "what, can we never have exploding buildings again?" are making me facepalm so hard at how much this has gone over your head.
LOTS of stupid stuff has happened in the comics over the century and that's not an excuse for it to be in a movie or that it is representative of the general paradigm. There was a freaking king kong monkey from krypton in the comics at one point....and if that showed up in a movie it would be rightly panned as being…
Lol, was that before or after he fathered a bastard, stalked his ex lover, dissapeared for years without telling anyone, and generally acted dumber than a bag of hammers?
Make no mistake, I hate Man of Steel with a fiery passion and consider it one of the dumbest and most pretentious movies I've ever seen in…
The Rundown was *the* movie that turned me from a guy who thought the rock was a fad occupying the vacuum left by Arnold into a true believer. He is absolutely hysterical and awesome in every scene of that movie and I wish it had done better domestically so that he could have done a sequel to that movie co-starring…
Jesus...that might be the most amazing skybox I've ever seen. I know they're jokign when they say you can jump down and run around there, but holy crap it sure looks like you could.
I think that the better you become at fighting games, the more you begin to appreciate that the real skill in these games isn't when people are pressing buttons, but rather when they aren't.
The constant nonstop action of Marvel 3 is very appealing to a lot of people, but street fighter and matches like the one above…
Marvel 3 has been dead to me for a long time and I continue to hate it even more year after year....but I will always tune in to see Justin Wong pull off a couple miracles, and I'm never disappointed.
Personally I think its just good form to fight until the very end.
