That "redone textures" part is not just a footnote you know. There's a lot that goes into it. Also, the models look significantly smoother and they actually have indivdual toes and fingers now, which is a pretty big change.

That is extremely arguable, and there's every reason to believe things will improve later in the generation. My evidence: it's a universal truth things always improve during a console's life and you just have to look at launch titles versus end of console life titles to see it.

And no, they are not all oranges.

I actually really disliked this part in the game because I for one was looking for the dialogue option where Shepard goes:

"Wrex, bro, we've been through a lot together and I know what happend to your people was ****ed up. Saren's intentions might be evil but if there's any chance we can preserve this facility and the

...except that it clearly was.

....no it doesn't.

Edit: seriously, I don't understand the point you're trying to make. Whatever a Microsoft rep said at one point on the subject is pretty irrelevant because the 360 had 1080p support eventually one way or the other.

.....and?

I'll admit to not doing a lot of extensive testing firsthand but I would think upping AA to compensate for the lower resolution would still be less intensive then rendering at full 1080.....within reason of course. Actually, I kind of took that as a given they'd be doing that. If not, then yes I agree, jaggies are

What are you talking about? The PS3 supported 1080p, and the 360 eventually did as well. Most games on last gen didn't render natively at 1080p and were upscaled of course, but the 360 couldn't even do that initially.

FYI, in case anyone has forgotten: the 360 wasn't even capable of outputing 1080p (upscaled or otherwise) in its initial release. So again, yes, this is nothing but launch woes. Long term I doubt this will be a significant problem with the xbone.

Besides, as other people have pointed out: the difference between 720p

Lol, I'm laughing so hard at how history is repeating itself. I guess everyone has already forgotten the early days when the PS3 was inarguable superior since the 360 was incapable of outputting 1080p.

Sure they do.

You're comparing apples to oranges. The gap between system specs on the upcoming consoles and the prior ones is obviously not going to be as insignificant as it will be between consoles of the same generation.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: arguing over system power is a load of bollocks. Even if one system is theoretically more powerful, third party games will never look significantly better or worse from one console to the next (barring an exception like the wii), because the developers will build there game

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I've been debating switching my pre-order to steam and this just settled it. Going to transfer that 20 I put down on the game to something else.

That's the point. At what point did it stop being free? The truth is that it never was. It was just an added benefit for subscribers.
In case anyone has forgotten, the cost of xbox live has gone up over the years as well.

I know you were trying to lampoon his argument with your example, but your reasoning is flawed. He has a perfectly valid point.

I find your argument exceptionally flawed because you are not paying microsoft for your internet connection, so it's not really a valid comparison.

Perhaps a better example would be netflix. These days its easy to forget that netflix wasn't always a streaming video service, and that was actually added later as an

Joking or not...I actually think you're right to an extent. DC has done a pretty good job at transforming Aquaman into a more powerful and relevant part of the DC universe...but cultural stigma aside, I think the biggest barrier is his character design.

Same boat. I actually still buy the games in order to support the developers but I can't bring myself to actually brave them myself. Watching people play them is the best though.

Invisible walls are seriously *killing* my immersion in this game. I hate to be dramatic, but they almost feel symbolic of my biggest problem with the game. I remember the glory days of Star Wars Galaxies and thinking that the next generation of MMOs would have even bigger worlds with even more things to do...but
