It doesn’t feel like Star Trek because it’s not. It’s generic bad sci-fi made by people who don’t get Trek and clearly don’t care.

Deasn’t matter. Peter life has to stink. It’s part of the character. That’s why I never liked most of his stories... too much misfortune on one single dude. Who is also super intelligent, super strong, friend with some of the most powerful people in the universe, but seems to be always poor and alone.

There’s one major difference though. A 500$ mechanical watch can last a lifetime, these smartwatches are cool, do a lot of things, but are basically ticking bombs with an expected life aropun two to three years at best.

He has a very big pair of brief to fill.

If you liked the Abrams movie these series are for you. They are not Star Trek, but neither were JJ’s movies, so...

After Discovery and Picard... How can we still hope and have good feelings about anything "Trek" related?

I bet Obi will also encounter Asokha, the great absentee from the roginal trilogy by now. ;) And why not a cameo from Jedi Fallen order?? I bet those two are still around doing.. something. :D
