I have not, which do you recommend?
If it helps, I did write a blog read by no one about the problem of slut-shaming:

As I noted in another follow-up comment (you can see it above), I wasn't trying to elicit praise. I was just mentioning a personal experience that made me more acutely understand the emotions some women feel given the ever-present sense of danger in their interactions with men. I don't think I deserve a medal for…
Thank you, that's flattering. But I wasn't trying to set myself up as some paragon of virtue, I was just kind of trying to illustrate my personal experience and how the fear a lot of women describe become more salient and clear to me.
Only a couple times in my life have I asked a woman who was otherwise a stranger for her number. My romantic/sexual encounters have exclusively come through meeting a friend of a friend, and something developing from there.
Your brain also probably isn't soaking in testosterone.
I hardly ever ask women upfront for their number. Maybe l
Sorry, author, I absolutely would be bored and take notice if oral sex was something that was completely off the table in a relationship. I wonder if this guy had a conversation with her about it prior to marriage, but if he didn't that's still his fault.
This is why people need to have sex before marriage. If you…
And yet if she did include people of color there'd be no less than five articles on this site decrying the fact that yet another white person is trying to tell stories about people of color that they can't undersrand.
I think it's particularly disingenuous on the part of otherwise rational people to constantly deflect and deny the role Islam actually plays in creating these cultures of violence, misogyny, and stupidity.
This show is honestly so awful. Started watching it during the first season with my wife, and by halfway through the second the show had completely abandoned any attempts at being believable and jumped the shark.
Ironically, I just had this exact discussion in a literature class (we were discussing children's books and I brought up the point of how we're creating too much of an insular world that doesn't reflect reality and how this extends into how we talk to kids about their bodies) and someone retorted, when I urged the use…
I think it's partially cultural, particularly for women and how the media decides you'd be better off dead the day you first have the appearance of crow's feet around the eyes. But I think it's partially biological, too (i.e. young women are more likely to pass on our genes if we make babies with them).
But, also, I…
I think, when it comes to individual relationships, they should be judged on their own merits as opposed to some overarching idea of what is 'right' or 'wrong' between consenting adults.
It's perfectly alright if you don't find younger men attractive. I do happen to, visually at least, find younger women attractive.…
I don't see how being attracted to a fully-grown adult woman is creepy. Dating one, maybe. But simply finding them attractive isn't creepy at all.
Presuming I was presented with an image of a beautiful woman at 20 or a beautiful woman at 40, chances are I'm going to be more attracted to the 20 year old. That's just my visceral reaction to visual stimuli.
But physical attractiveness isn't the only vital variable in human interactions. I would likely be less…
Honestly, her experience and career is so limited to such a small percentage of people I can't imagine what she has to say that is really going to matter
Could you do the skeptic community a favor and not lump atheism in with the other objectionable things you mention about Gervais? It's not evangelical to simply mock the obvious absurdity of most religious beliefs.
I see your point about Gervais' tweet, but I also can't see how it's victim blaming to simply point out that, in the digital age, putting nudes of yourself on a computer and thinking they're secure is an almost foolish level of naive carelessness.
Music in 2014: The biggest star in the industry is someone that barely writes any of her own songs.
Don't get me wrong, strictly as a performer, she's incredibly talented. But I thought being in music was primarily about musicianship, not strictly a penchant for theatrics.
