Great article that says what I would have said. With less expletives even.

I genuinely don't understand why you've replied to my comment with an argument about Consoles vs PC. Nothing I said commented on the state of Consoles as a whole (I think the PS4 looks very good and their conference was done quite well) nor extolled the virtues of being a PC gamer.

Holy shit they SHOWED the machine! That totally makes up for advertising it as an absurdly expensive universal remote.

Isn't that what you were doing? Seems like you're the one who can't handle the idea that the journalists weren't cheering at the God like ability to change channels using an Xbox. Here, I'll do what you did.

They spent well over half of this presentation happily talking about the Software features of this machine...that were focused on other forms of media besides games. (TV, Film, TV, Music, Smart Glass, Skype, TV).

Actually, if you understand how pictures work, you'd be able to see that *two* people said that the cheering was not coming from the press, and the two people to say this are two people who were there.

IMO this was one of the worst Conferences I've ever seen, especially one aimed at (or in the general direction of) gamers...Not people looking for a voice activated media center.

Anyone else expecting the end to go

"Xbox : Go home. You're drunk"

It does seem to be heading that way, but I can't entirely fault the zeitgeist right now...It does seem like Microsoft is ready to start Shoveling dirt over the still plenty warm Xbox-as-a-games-console concept.

Douche level comments beginning in 5...4...wait you already posted.

This isn't hugely bad, but holy shit I can see why their conference was shorter than sony's - Any longer and they would have had to start releasing this stock-shrinkingly shitty information, live on the stream...rather than quietly to the press afterwards where only hardcore gamers will see it.

"Fuck that" is a reasonable response when a company leans in close and whispers "No, Fuck you"

Were you expecting a shelf of genuine Xbox One games?

For as much as they like to go on about community and social gaming, and gaming with your friends...this is probably the biggest hit, to me personally anyway, to do that.

I've got to say, This brand of sarcasm appeals to me greatly.

Close up? The tech looked really nice actually. But from further away it looked exactly the same...so unless they intend to put in a fucking kissing booth, this isn't going to blow my mind.

This is especially underwhelming considering how great BF4 looked.

"You can lean! and Dive! and vault over things! And you get a companion dog!"

So...it's a computer game from 10 years ago plus dogmeat from Fallout 3? HOW NEW AND EXCITING!!

I was less confused about this game before I knew it existed.

This was genuinely the only thing about the conference that made me happy. And you know what else made me happy? The knowledge that unless Microsoft literally wrote Spielberg a blank cheque, there will be Blu-ray sales of this series and I won't have to buy an X1 to watch this show.

I don't understand why they would get rid of the dual cameras, They could surely read depth far more accurately with a 3D camera versus a suped up 2D one.
