We can only hope!

As someone who has preferred the 360 for all multi-platform titles, I purchased the PS3 version of Portal 2 as I am a big Steam fan. I've followed the trials and tribulations Valve went through with Microsoft and was disappointed with the result. I wanted to thank Sony and Valve for what they've accomplished by

You could also just enable Fast User Switching and then click on your username and then "Login Window".

Thanks for the tip!

Yea let me get RIGHT on that! Not.

I take issue with the statement that it was a "failure". It was just a development tool that was available to developers. But more importantly this was all just marketing to drum up hype on both sides for Sega and Microsoft.

Back in high school I used to work for Funcoland and we sold FACTORY Refurb Sony Playstation 1s. The interesting thing is we sold these for the 4 years I was with the company and in those 4 years, not one of them ever came back defective out of the box. New Playstations would come back defective every once and a while

Ashcraft, is that your Seamaster?

@JohnnyricoMC: Glad to see we're not the only ones who find this topic interesting. Looking forward to reading that piece.

@JohnnyricoMC: Maybe Kotaku or Gizmodo will do a test of the various storage methods accepted by this new system update. Would be curious to see what is and isn't compatible along with the performance ratings.

@JohnnyricoMC: Traditional hard drives were also on my mind just hadn't gotten around to testing that out yet. Glad you had the same thought and tested it out for all of us. I guess the next question would be solid state hard drives?

@JohnnyricoMC: Thanks, I guess I do have some lower quality flashdrives. Again I appreciate everyone's feedback and comments.

@Mr Pie!: Glad to hear you're getting positive results too. Did it indicate any performance requirements not being met when you set that 8gb unit up?

@Shonk: Guys thanks for the feedback. I also tried a 2GB Sandisk flash drive that we've used at work with "ReadyBoost" and that one also failed. Glad to see that some non-Xbox Branded drives are meeting the requirements though.

So far all of the USB flash drives & my first gen. iPod Shuffle do not meet the "performance requirements". I'm starting to wonder if only the XBOX APPROVED drives are the only ones that will.

@YogaFire: I couldn't agree with you more my friend. As game companies keep looking to make a quick buck off half assed sequels, its nice to see a company like Capcom put forth the effort. EA, 2k Games, & Activision take note!

Street Fighter Anniversary

While I don't agree with this article at all. I do feel Luke is onto something with his point about Mass Effect. Maybe Bioware should take a crack at a Trek game. Something tells me they could pull a "J.J. Abrams" and create a Trek game that is both loved by fans and non-fans.
