Re: that last bit. I made myself famous for doing CG models of Star Trek sets 7+ years ago - the computer I did all of that on was less powerful than my iPhone is now. I'm showing people those images today on a device more powerful than what I created them on. How fucking awesome is that?!? BTW, Google my name or

Some of the costumes in this look almost divinely inspire by William Ware Thiess. Google Thiess Theory of Titillation and you'll know what I mean (true Star Trek fans won't have to!). ;-)

That is one rusty ship.

Wow. Someone's gotta be out of a job for that one.

One of these in almost exactly this style was built into a sidewalk down in SoHo:

There's a decent amount of money in Drupal right now, too, FWIW, and it's a lot more fun than any of those. :-)

I joined during DrupalCon DC in March 2009 to connect with other people at the conference. With the #drupalcon hashtag it was a great way to find out what sessions were cool, where the parties were after each day, general backchannel chat (in addition to IRC), etc. I think I had already had an account before that,

Big Brother is watching you, indeed.

I can see one of my favorite gay bars on that map. ;-)

Meh. I found the program more than interesting enough on its own (taught myself PS back in high school in 95/96). The game would just be a distraction.

Same here. Too much trouble to fish my iPhone out of my pocket just to check the time. Besides, I like my D&G and Diesel watches. ;-)

Solution #2: don't have kids. ;-)

I woke up from a dream at while staying at my ex-boyfriend's house in Baltimore one night. I had entire concept for navigating multidimensional hierarchies on a multitouch device in my head - it was like I'd been watching a video of it in my sleep. I replayed it dozens of times in my head while I could still recall

AIR, Blue Sky Black Death, Arcade Fire, Devotchka, Thievery Corporation, Hands Upon Black Earth, Saint Germain, and Moby round out my list. Not ashamed of any of that, it's damned good shit. I'm a little surprised an AIR song beat out Blue Sky Black Death's "The Era When We Sang 59 to 41, though, that's my all time

Just a shame that he inverted the perspective on Mario himself (why is the vanishing point apparently in front of him?!?). :-(

Just make all TVs and other such devices wifi connected and give me a bloomin' iPhone app. That said, I pretty much only ever watch TV on election night and even then not always (I can get the results faster online). ;-)

That was my immediate thought as well.

Wasn't the case at all. First off, it's a reproduction, not an original (obviously). Second, it was used. Third, he was wanting to get rid of it regardless (he had to move and had nowhere to put it). He's just not a design geek like I am, so it was worth a lot more to me than it was to him, though that was about

I have a Wasilly chair too. My ex had two of them and I absolutely fell in love with them, so when a friend of mine here in NYC was willing to sell me one he had in his basement for a mere $150, I obviously jumped at the opportunity. It's in excellent shape, don't think he had any idea what he had on his hands. LOL

Apparently neither could the idjits who made the error in the first place. Look at the alignment of the day headers relative to the vertical blue lines. If that doesn't jump out and scream at you, the only advice I can give you is not to go into graphic design. ;-)
