“For fuck’s sake America, get over it.”
Oh man, I can taste the salt from here.
(It’s a joke)
I think having a cap on regular broadband (not mobile) is still the minority of users. They’re testing it in some markets but it’s not in most places (yet, anyway).
Data caps aren’t universal (yet, anyways). I don’t have any on my services, obviously it’s different for everyone. If you have data caps then this probably isn’t for you.
Can you believe this man was almost Superman? I’m so sad that didn’t happen.
Is that supposed to be a lot? I get 100 mbps at home, my cell phone gets 55.
Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Okay...and?
I’m not sure the point you’re trying to make. You stream the video, the rendering is done on Googles end.
Oh yes, please let’s compare a yet to be released service to decade old technology. Sounds like a totally fair comparison.
Why? Most people have cell phones with unlimited data, at the very least that would serve. If you can stream youtube, you can stream this service. All it’s doing is streaming the video of the game, I don’t know why you think it’s so demanding.
Why do you limit it to just that one scenario? Sure Switch is great, but maybe your favorite games aren’t on it. Maybe you have a big house and want to be able to play in any room of your home without having to buy a bunch of consoles or move equipment. Maybe you have kids that you don’t trust with expensive hardware.…
That’s just what I mean. The entire experience is streamed, so that’s what you’re signing up for. It’s not the same as requiring a game you have contained entirely within your own house to be online.
That’s not really how modern “always online” games work, though. Generally you need to connect to a server from the get-go and stay connected. Any interruption stops your game.
Enlighten me.
I won’t be buying this, however you can’t deny the appeal of having all your games with you, being able to play on the highest settings possible, no matter where you go on any screen you have.
I think devs get a pass on that requirement when you’re literally streaming the entire game.
I was so hyped for Smash Bros., but when I experienced how piss poor the multiplayer experience was for playing with friends it totally killed my enthusiasm and I haven’t played it for months. Really shocking how they don’t understand how to do multiplayer
