Come on man, have some transparency. You shit talk 76 on reddit on a regular basis. Don’t pretend like you didn’t go into this biased.

A year later and people still can’t stop bitching about 76 no matter how much content gets added. Kotaku and their ilk know hating 76 leads to clicks, so why not?
I’m sure someone else has mentioned it, but I really don’t understand why grotesque violence is acceptable but sex isn’t. Decapitating someone is fine, but show some skin and it’s like you’ve dropkicked a puppy.
The epic store is functionally a piece of junk right now. It’s where Steam was when it was in alpha. Actually, it has less features technically. Devs are opting for the Epic platform because of incentives (read: bribes). Steam may not be great, but it’s certainly a better platform. Everyone already had steam. No one…
I’m PRETTY sure if shooting monsters in the crotch, butt, or even something as benign as the legs was the most effective way to kill them in a game, people would do that instead. Gamers didn’t just start “liking headshots”. They’ve almost always been “critical” hits in shooters, so of course gamers would use them.
I know someones going to think I’m being offensive or something, but I genuinely want to know:
Actually, both can happen. And neither can happen. Games have failed before without killing companies. Some major companies have been killed because they ignored their player base and went off on a new direction.
Double post for some reason.
If that was true, there would be no such thing as indy devs. People don’t wake up one day and suddenly become triple A game developers. Your statement applies to that side of the industry, and that side of the industry should (theoretically, anyways) have the money they need to make their game and not need to take…
Your reasoning is exactly why I said what I said. If I thought it was a magical industry I wouldn’t have. The only way the devs will learn from this is if the game fails. Sadly, if that happens we’ll probably never get to see more games from them.
Unfortunately, especially post-EA lootboxes, it seems the majority of the industry doesn’t learn unless it effects their pocket book. I would rather believe they would listen to their customers and realize how backwards this decision was, but you and I both know they won’t. They did this for the money, and our opinion…
Oh? What dev company do you work for? I’d be curious to see how your company has done if you genuinely believe failing isn’t how companies learn.
Amazingly everything you just said was wrong.
This feels like the devs have completely missed the point of it all. They pick Epic because it helps them. Sure, that’s fine- but didn’t you develop a game to sell to GAMERS? Isn’t this an example of putting the cart before the horse?
Except, it’s not? Largely the vast majority of “complaints” and incessant bitching has disappeared as people have moved on to new games to bitch about.
Nothing you just posted has anything to do with the subject.
The “counterpoint” is to try it and find out. Don’t make assanine assumptions that cannot possibly be true. Even a few pounds can make a difference. How do you measure this thing you two seem to think is the difference? What are you measuring? Testosterone? Are you taking into account things like women having a higher…
This here is exactly why humanity is completely boned now. This guy thinks spreading false allegations about something as horrible and unforgivable as sandy hook “isn’t really concerning”. WOW.
So wait, you claim the reason it offends you is that you’re a journalist?
I suggest you try it if you want to know why people are angry.
