It's an opinion piece because there are other things, like the downtime PSN experiences, that he completely leaves out. Those of us with jobs are fine with paying for our service if it keeps the service working. SCEA will just slap you with the "it's free" fish if you call them during an outage, whether or not you

Amnesia isn't terrifying. There's no penalty for dieing, at least when I played it. You pop back up where you were. If there's nothing to lose, there's nothing to be afraid of.

Kotaku has been making mistakes like this for a while. They're portrayed, and behave like a professional news source, while their posts are anything but.

Having worked for SCEA, PSN will always be inferior to Live for one distinct reason.

But really, what's worse?

I wonder exactly what law is broken when you change the software on a system but gain no money from it. This sounds awfully close to taking someone to court for producing copying machines, because they could potentially use it to copy illegal things!

@SuicaLove: I did not intend any implication I meant your situation would not work out. I merely meant to add, that in my experience, it doesn't. This could also relate to living in Las Vegas, which has one of the highest divorce rates of the country (go figure). So it could be completely coincidental.

@SuicaLove: I don't think this is a fair thing to say, honestly. To each their own, but I can't imagine ever being angry at my girlfriend for snooping. But then, as you stated, I don't do anything wrong. I can't imagine doing anything that would potentially be psychologically devastating.

Wait, Tron Legacy isn't in first anymore? This is almost enough to drive a man to cut himself, should be inclined to do so. I saw it twice last weekend. I call haberdashery! Wait.. that's not right.

@truthtellah: That's an intriguing concept, actually. Adding DLC that makes the avatar "more appealing" to the smaller portions of the given audience. I know I'd pay for better haircuts on Shepard (Mass Effect/2).

I have a preference for bubs. *shrug*

The fallout 3 poster should have had power armor somewhere on it, instead of the robobrain.

@DELICIOUS BUNNY: I haven't visited kotaku in quite some time because of comments like this, and I come back to STAR COMMENTATORS making comments like this.

@rharehbsarga: My thoughts exactly. I'm lining up in advance.

@Alistar: Except the whole ITS NOT OUT HERE thing. Clearly we can FLOCK to this amazing title that NONE OF US CAN PLAY.

@Robert Montjoy: Because MMO's don't add races in expansions or anything.

@p4h: I don't know why, but Ultima Online is never mentioned in these discussions. You could design the house like it's own sub game, and yes, there is a group of us own there who compulsively arrange things. You could also break into houses, among other things. Player housing is fantastic when done correctly-

@Razvus: Starwars Galaxies.

@Jonn: If it ain't broke.
