@Manganese: Exactly why I loved Demon's Souls myself. People typically find a way to blame a game for the difficulty, STALKER for example, and once theres a general 'consensus' among said naysayers it's written off.

@CapnCourage: I don't have to list "reasons" for them being unproductive. I have the definition of the word. And no, I don't think reading shakespeare is producting. Writing your own play is productive. Reading a literary masterpiece can get your creative juices flowing, but that doesn't mean you're DOING anything.…
@icarus212001: Nothing that a few major corporations and a large portion of the population can get behind will ever be blamed, or even remotely hinted at.
@Danza: It's no problem. As long as someone perpetuates the idea that games are productive in some way I'll be there to throw the entire idea off course by pointing out they aren't, thus nullifying anything else they say, no matter how well thought out or intelligent. Even Shakespeare would have been ignored if he…
@Danza: I understood it fine. Games are not productive. If they were, they would not be the distraction from productive life that they are. I don't play games because I want to feel like I'm ACCOMPLISHING having fun. I have fun as a result of accomplishing something difficult. I realize this has been lost in…
@Aggressor: In before obligatory "But it doesn't compare to Uncharted 2 omg!". I agree, I installed STALKER a couple weeks ago on a whim and it still looked fantastic to me. Only 'fire' looked out of place. And I play Crysis regularly. I guess graphics have gotten to the point that it's opinion and not simply A B.
@Strangelove: I felt the same about clearsky. Some mods made it a lot more fun for me though. I give them credit for sticking to their original intent.
@Danza: Stopped reading at "Sure, it's hard, and challenging — but it's not fun or productive. ". Sorry, what? When have games ever been productive?
@Syntax12345: BECAUSE CARTOONS ARE BAD MMKAY.
And I suppose I'm still the only heathen that is more concerned by the fact a company as big as SE feels like it needs to pander to reviewers than I am about an excuse?
@SYSSMouse: TA:Kingoms was a pretty good game after the balance revamp but, it was far too late to be salvaged. Most people attribute it to the reason BIG shut down Cavedog.
@Shinta: Seriously Shinta, I'm disappointed in you ^_^ haha. One of the best phrases ever. BIG MONEY! BIG PRIZES! III LOVE IT!
@Shinta: God of War 3 carries with it a well known name. They could quite literally package the first level of a flash game and people would still buy it like hot cakes. I've never seen the appeal.
@Cat_Alex: Or perhaps they were making a game that encompasses more than just human life, and maybe, just maybe some of those other species are far less accustomed to extreme cold than we are?
Last I checked ME2 had more than just humans in it.. Maybe it's, I don't know, hostile to Turians? OR ANY OTHER SPECIES IN THE GAME?
@Strey: If it's any consolation I thought it was funny. I don't think anyone but a programmer is going to understand it though. When can we get a copy of Visual Love Studio?
@Livingtarget: Is airborne, Is ment to be surrounded!: No, you're right. Modelling a body is much easier when you have a mold. Characters simply look better when you aren't "guessing" about shape to avoid modelling the ever damnable naked body.
Seriously, where can we get that momohime? :P
@Shinta: I actually agree in regards to VC. I thought the English voices were fantastic.. though I have friends that would probably throw bricks at me for saying that.
@Shinta: No, sorry. No buying both games. That's for people with jobs. And the capability to form their own opinion. I'm sure I could make up other inane reasons why it's a bad idea but I'm bored.
