I love digital distribution, but not for my console. I refuse to buy a physical copy of a PC game, but I want the Xbox 720 to stay disc based.

If you ain't first, you're last.
My first thoughts after reading this as well.
Awesome!
The fundamental problem with your argument that removing piracy will increase sales is that it's nearly impossible to get rid of piracy. People will always find ways around it.
I replied to another person's ignorant comment and I feel it needs repeating here:
Obviously, we don't know exactly how much testing Bathesda does on their games and patches.
Well if you aren't having problems than obviously no one else is either.........
Your comment contradicts yourself. Are you for, or against child killing in games? Fallout 1&2 were not developed by Bathesda.
Read it again. They announced prior to the pre-order that PS3 copies would get BF3. The arguement that you quoted is talking about the announcement EA made on Twitter that PS3 pre-orders would not get BF1943.
I don't know what the guards were so pissed. As far as I can tell, he did them all a favour.
Beat me to it. I'd say F1 steering wheels look more complex than this controller.
Although those originated in Unreal, they will always be a part of counter-strike for me. Some people don't like them, but it's not CS(S) to me without em.
Well said. Hopefully other DRM-happy publishers will learn a thing or two from Bathesda.
Using that photo is a time honoured tradition on Kotaku.
This system will not even come close to solving the problem. It's the parents who are fundamentally the problem and not video games, or movies, or TV. It didn't matter if it was movies, TV, video games, or even books.... my parents didn't let me stay up past my bedtime.
Not when all they care about is patenting it, packaging it, slapping it on a plastic lunch box and selling it.
But there are a lot of other things that go along with that... steam community groups, friends, etc.
Those are good examples, but none of them are true war games. I hope we get a AAA military shooter soon that is as fun as CoD/BF and still has very strong emotional and cultural value.
I think Nina just wants us to question ourselves and our culture when it comes to violence in video games, and the media. Where I see concern is the fine line between enjoying a violent and glorified shooter, and the loss of respect for what war costs us.
