I use Car Max purely as a baseline for any car i want to sell or trade. Them I try to find the best deal on a new car, then talk trade in after. Also i always go in pre approved from my credit union. Dealers dont like buyers like me, or maybe they do since its a no b.s. deal. I do give them a chance to beat it though
