It’s been interesting watching Twitter after the press conference. All the reporters are talking about the Russia Hacks or the fainting episode or anything but the two solid minutes where Obama lambasted them for running with the hacked email narrative for 6 months then wondering why it was such a big deal.

Half of it is about heartbreak. Some of the story lines and jokes are base, yes. But it’s also witty and sweet and touches on some darker things. That’s not exactly a pandering Christmas theme. And it’s a hundred times better than any American Christmas movie I’ve seen.

Watch the movie, don’t read Lindy West’s article about it. Just watch the movie and make up your own mind. It’s a very entertaining holiday film and for God’s sake, it stars Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman!!!
