Great to hear somebody articulate this. My wife and I made the decision to do an LDR after 4 years of marriage for a job opportunity she had. One thing I’d add is focus on the positive - while you have to spend time apart, it helps a lot to focus on what great times you can have together experiencing all that two…
Used to not like them at all but Ive started to appreciate that big freakin grille on the front and awkwardly large tail lights. There's some definite beauty there. And the engine! It's as long as some whole cars!!
It’s definitely got better performance specs but there’s something about the cockpit Windows and engine nacelles on the sea Dragons that make them look really cool.
Just for reference, last time I was on trail at Great Sand Dunes NP, miles from ANYWHERE, in the middle of bum fu’k nowhere Colorado, I think the tow fee they warned you about was ... $400. And that was in aired down conditions in high desert/mountain. This is ridiculous and criminal.
Not a big fan of the “looking busy tricks” but the parts on underpromising/overdelivering are critical. Also - Eisenhower box. Seriously, greatest thing ever.
If using a compound miter saw, do yourself a favor and get a REALLY good blade and ensure both your blade and fence are square. Precise cuts that are actually the angle they’re supposed to be make an enormous difference in your sanity :)
Someone who can legit blame it on tire pressure.
Cannot say how much I like this. Shapes in a PPT slide can do in a pinch too, but Sketchup is great.
I think you may want to do a bit more homework. The drones we’re seeing actively shadowed are pretty low tech compared to the rest of our fleet. We’re not talking RQ-180s or even Global Hawks here, we’re talking Predators and Reapers.
Series 1 E-Type Coupe. No AC, no power steering, no synchros. It overheats if you look at it wrong and the only way to cool it down is to vent engine air into the cabin, scalding your legs. And on top of that, you have this nagging sense of guilt that you’re pissed off and ingrateful while driving this beautiful car.
Good luck man. Wishing you the best the next few years as you work toward that!
I’d assume also that with your firm, billable hours are important, so in that case, more time=a better employee as long as you’re delivering quality work in a reasonable time frame. If that frustrates you, have you thought of looking at the corporate counsel side of things? Efficiency is a lot more prized when you’re…
You didn’t mention before that you worked in law. Yeah, in that case you’re screwed. Sorry. :)
It depends on how you frame your job and manipulate your environment. I’m a marketer at a multi-billion $ company, and I’m doing an MBA in the evenings at a Top 10 school, my wife lives on the other side of the country, and I have a house and a dog. Lots of time demands. I established early on that I left the office…
Despite the grammar nazi’s in the below replies, I have to agree with you. This is a job for these guys. Not properly repairing a safety device would be the equivalent of one of us being asked to work on industrial machines without PPE. They shouldn’t be forced to do it because fans don’t want to wait a little bit.
Don't know how y'all do it. Minnesota is bad enough.
In theory if they’ve got future flight dates, name, emergency contact phone and name and an email they’re about a step away from tracking down NOK and related addresses in public records and could make a planned stop at your house when you’re out of town for a known period of time. In practice? Not likely a…
