My wife ran down a driveway stake (for the snow, because MN) the other day in a car with backup sensors and a camera. She's the brightest woman I know, I love her dearly, but her knowing more than "the husband should look at it" is a really bad idea.

Yep. The traditional stuff would. It's basically a polymer that reduces surface friction. Should keep less stuff from clinging.

+2 on Wiper juice. The RainX stuff works great btw...I'm a believer in spending the extra money on that.

I just speak from experience with a rusty old E-type. Rags and a couple of Gatorade bottles were all that kept my wife and I from drowning in a downpour.

Just pack a lot of towels anytime you drive a rusty old car...helps plug the holes so you don't get wet when it rains.

nope, you're just driving a large cardboard box shaped vehicle. Ditto with my commander. I would be lucky to ever get over 20mpg on the best of days. Welcome to the club...it's worth every extra gallon when everyone else is stalled in the ditches.

used to have BFG MTs on my off-road rig. They're great in DEEP snow and mud. Everything else is downright lethal.

I think you hit the nail on the head. I think that the use of dumb bombs is more likely because they don't care to waste good munitions on targets and would rather intimidate than engage in precision strikes.
