That's him in the picture, I'd put him around fifteen or sixteen. It's never stated, but hell, he's as tall as his mom.

He features in later books as much as he featured in this episode. He shows up in book 4 as a passing mention. Tommen is also nine years old when he starts his rule. They just used the cat in this scene to reinforce how awful Joffrey was, if people needed a refresher.

It happens in book 4, he demands some cats and that beets should be outlawed. He's also like...9 years old in the book.

If they want to try it out, they should download a demo from the eShop. That's typically what demos are for.
