Some MMA gyms offer boxing and kickboxing classes as stand-alone. I just got into one that offers kickboxing and am going to stick with those for a while, and maybe eventually go to some of the other classes once I feel comfortable. It might be a good way to find the boxing you are looking for while seeing if any of

I just wanted to encourage you to keep looking for a boxing trainer. I started a little over a year ago and I absolutely love it. I was lucky enough to find an amazing community of women to work with as well but regardless of what’s available in your area, it’s absolutely worthwhile to try it out.

you can learn alot from martial arts. I’m not sure if full on mma is a good place to start. you also really want to limit the number of times you get hit in the head (see nfl, nhl, mohammed ali) in your lifetime. I have a friend who is about your size and is feared in her dojo.

I feel you. I just got a job as a part time front desk person at an MMA gym and so fucking pumped to start taking what are normally really expensive classes for free. I’m somewhat athletic but have never done anything close to MMA in my life. I’m terrified for my first class but can’t wait. If you’re of some means,

All you have to do is scream: “I’m a hemophiliac!” and when she turns away in disgust, then it’s time to kick some back! You’d have advantage, so you can add d6 to damage. Do they allow refs in the cage? You could use him or her for cover or set up a sweet flank!

Niceee, wish I could remember the movies title. The movie ‘enough’ with Jennifer Lopez is one of my all time female empowerment movies and its 15 years old! Showed mrs Yorkshireboy it a while ago and she loved it

that last part thooooo... *squees*

Well, I am also roughly 5’2” and I assure you probably much less athletic (I’m a fairly heavy build and I have never been able to run a mile that fast) and I started judo, Rousey’s sport of origin, four years ago and love it. I’m not so much for close contact, but I can deal with it in the context of sparring. Even if

I don’t care whose gaze people say it is, or whether or not they think I should feel bad about preferring to look the way I did before. I don’t like the stretched out shit either, and something is going on with my upper arms that is nothing short of a travesty, to me. Not to the whole world...no, but to me it really

I’m so sorry...

Thanks! I am relieved to be able to share the feeding responsibility. It is now basically guaranteed that there will only be one person in our house actively crying at 3am or so :) I feel like I got some sanity back! (Though also respect anyone's choice to BF - it was just kind of a fail for my family)

I’m so, so sorry.

I mean, I’m absolutely in favor of diversity of body types in the media, in stores, in catalogues, and these mannequins are clearly not a size 6, *and* clearly not the size most women are, but at the same time I’d kinda like it if people would stop saying my body is “ridiculous.”

thank youuuuu

As long as the mannequin is wearing a size sold in the store, I kinda don’t see the problem here. (More body diversity would be better, of course).

I read that first as “lactating”. To early in the morning.

Or, for the least self aware and most savvy, you leverage your celebrity into an MFA at Columbia.

Robert Frost must be spinning in his grave.

I don’t think she went to real life high school. I remember a story she told about the time she tried to wear a hot cop outfit to her class Halloween party, but that's it.
