@ninja_togo: I've considered it, but I haven't invested in my PC gaming rig in years as I've moved to the 360/PS3 for shooters.

@ZINO: Being that for a monitor I sit fairly close to my the screen (around 1 foot); I assume I would get a much better coverage (and 3D effect) with a 24" monitor then even a 50" HDTV.

Having spent over $2k+ on a HDTV in the last year, I have absolutely no inclination to buy a 3DTV.

"It sounds a lot like the Xbox Live Gold vs. Silver distinction."

This would be incredibly useful if I didn't already have cable.

What's going to happen is we are going to start seeing over-intrusive nanny DSCs for fear that some magazine is going to do some actual oversteering and present it as 'danger'.

@Arctic_Visionary: As mentioned above, a legal argument is very different from what you or I would agree upon.

@Arctic_Visionary: Actually you are the one that hasn't read the law, moreover, you are getting into unenforceable rhetoricals.

In court, which is very different from the real world or the common sense of normal individuals, this won't hold up.

At the very least it shows that Sony had a legitimate reason to remove Linux. Since this firmware does show that the vulnerability in their hypervisor can lead to a hacked firmware (which logically could also lead to piracy).

Woz will not be able to fit on this...

@TheTonyShow: You are aware that the current fines exist at its current levels because of the coverup during the Ford-Firestone incident?

When this car was first released, I wasn't a big fan of it.

@TheTonyShow: First off, I'm not saying Toyota didn't have problems, I'm saying that the panic and Toyota-bashing that followed it certainly was politically driven.

In fairness, Kotaku does play off of some of these negative-Japanese stereotypes as well sometimes. Particularly in relation to otaku and hentai culture.

@Vecha: The Toyota example is probably the perfect example of Japan-bashing.

The problem with the CNN report was that it was out-dated. As reported at Kotaku, rape games have already been banned in Japan for quite some time:

@SaanZ: It not about reporting.

@Witzbold: "Gokudou"(極道) is the philosophy that the Yakuza follow.
