I just checked out the event and saw that a few of my friends are going to be there, too! I'll be moving down sometime that weekend, so if I'm in town, I'll definitely check it out.

I'll be working in York, and until I find my own place, I'll be living with my family right near Ossington Station, which I am told is a neat area to live in. I'll probably try to find a place in York, though, to be closer to work.
I am super lucky in a lot of ways. I have family to stay with for a bit until a couple of my friends join me in Toronto (hopefully in August, maybe September) and we can find a place together. I go to a lot of conventions in Toronto (neeeerd) so I already know some people. 'Sgonna work out!
I just found out yesterday that I got a job in Toronto (yay!) and that it starts in two weeks (scary!). I need someone to reassure me that I'll be able to figure out the TTC and where to buy groceries, and stuff. Also that I'll meet cool people and find cool places.
I remember being in high school and dealing with bullying because liking comic books and science fiction was considered weird. Now it's considered cool, and people are angry because all of those things we love are now cool. Who are the real hipsters here? I say that it isn't the latecomers who just discovered The…
Why thank you! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid…
I fucking love when people call me a fake nerd at conventions. Like, yeah, I'm totally a fake nerd. I drove five hours to skate around the con in this Dazzler costume I meticulously crafted because... I don't actually love comic books? Obviously, that must be it.
Funny you mention that! FanExpo in Toronto this year is including sports as one of it's genres. So the sci fi/comic book/horror/anime/gaming convention is now also a sports convention.
Any mention of Paul Sorvino reminds me of this:
The issue isn't with age differences in general, but with the fact that it's all we ever see. Men in movies are almost always older than their female love interests.
Hahah, you can't just say "THAT'S WRONG!" but not give any explanation as to how or why it's wrong. In any case, it absolutely isn't. No one should ever have to fuck someone they don't want to, so if you want to get fucked, become someone people want to fuck. That is one of the most basic concepts there is.
My honest advice to you: Rather than expecting people who date/fuck you even though they don't like you because you feel entitled to it, work on becoming the kind of person people want to date/fuck. Seriously.
I know a girl who turned 18 when we were still in high school and sued for (and won) custody of her little brother.
Oh absolutely! And I will watch it weekly with a glass of wine in my hand.
I sort of love Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless. It's all so ridiculous.
I don't wear makeup generally. I am pretty skilled at applying it, mostly for cosplay purposes. It is really dramatic how differently I am treated when I am wearing makeup, though. I feel like I look fantastic when I am not wearing makeup, and I think the difference is less that I look better when I am wearing makeup,…
Pretty good song, too.
What. Is. That. From?
Okay. I don't typically wear bras, because I find them insanely uncomfortable. I know my correct size (30DD) but my boobs sit farther to the side, and having them pushed forward sucks. Also, I hate the feeling of underwire digging into my ribs (and finding bras without underwire is basically impossible). So my boobs…
I went from a 34B to a 30DD in just one bra fitting a few years ago. I think they've grown, but I only wear bras for cosplay purposes, so I'll find out soon when I start checking all of my costume supplies before my next convention.
