Sit back and let me regale you with the tale of the great Gawker hack of twenty ten. Still reeling from the attack a frantic Nick Denton turned to external authentication as his networks saviour. No more would he have to labour under the burden of providing adequate security for his users. It was Facebook and Twitters

I would just like to reaffirm my stance that Kinja should have implemented a report button or down-voting in the comment section. While it doesn't remedy the issue, it would temporarily hide the post until a mod could get to it.

That would be wise.

Here's a picture of the LAPD in riot gear during the 1992 "Rodney King" riots in LA. It's a whole lot more than fatigues, kevlar, masks and communication equipment.

Good, those kids shouldn't be playing Call of Duty: Ghosts.

This is an aside from the article, but I want to address this.

I'm 30 and have all of 10 pictures of myself taken over the last 8 years. I feel like I'm missing out on the Selfie trend.

I don't think that photo does the Lagona justice. This one really allows you to bask in its beauty:

I want to be as happy about anything as this dog is about this cat.

1949-1990 World War 3 Fallout Shelter

It actually uses compressed gas. The difference with SLBMs is that Topol fires it's engine before fully clearing the canister, but the damage is still minimal.

Oh man, I hate that the heavy handed folks at Jalopnik busted down your door and went all A Clockwork Orange on you.

I'll admit I cherry pick the bits I find interesting, but even the weaponry is impressive in their own right, a lot of ingenious engineering goes into it, a lot of which is applicable to civilian applications as well.

Came here via Jalopnik link. Want that truck.

Now playing

You should stay off the internet if displaying links is the same as being force-fed their content. You're going to be forced into some seriously nasty stuff out there, much, much worse than machines made for killing.

This isn't Jalopnik-proper, this is Foxtrot Alpha, the sub-blog for all things military.

This is the military sub-blog. It wasn't forced, you clicked on it. I choose not to click on Truck Yeah! articles, you can probably manage for this.

Yeah, all those organized atheists who covered up decades of sexual abuse of children and how those organizations lobby lawmakers o ensure their particular brand of non-belief is forced on the rest of society despite being wholly contradictory to the founding documents and ideals.

You can just deduct it from the hundreds of millions, maybe even billions, of tourist dollars his family brings into the country every year.

Except that's not entirely true. The money went towards removing asbestos, updating plumbing, etc. on a historic home that belongs to the taxpayers already.
