Not really since many nfl tackles involve dropping the head and diving at the legs and ACLs are not being torn at a 100% clip.

That's exactly my point you focus on the word when that isn't the problem. The problem is getting people to have a more positive view of mental disability which I admit is a tall task since no one would say that having a mental disability is a positive development because it's not.
So you're saying using moving bodies is atypical ..... also in real football no one is trying to run through you as much as run away from or around you to get a first down our touchdown. It's much more difficult to try to form tackle players good at running away from getting tackled and breaking predictable tackles
You said you were responding to the fact that the OP said engagement rings were stupid in general so I responded to indicate that was plausible for admittedly different reasons than she might have been alluding to.
An nfl game is not a good time to try stuff. Also those heads up tackling videos show you how to tackle stationary objects or unsuspecting teammates. An nfl runner would've scored before you have time to square up and dip your hips.
I like how when they teach form tackle drills it's always using tackling dummies or stationary teammates ... fucking running backs that wouldn't stop for me to set , square up and drive.
Well engagement rings are arguably outdated and sexist which some might find stupid. Clearly you have an engagement ring so you can't be expected to be objective on the matter. Instead find another tradition where the facts and implications are similar and ask yourself whether it is something we should continue with.
The fact that the OP herself is an exception leads me to believe she must be aware of their existence.
It appears the question was directed at the majority who do. When someone makes a statement addressing a general majority personal anecdotes are kind of off topic since usually most people understand the world is full of exceptions. It would be impossible to say anything about anything without this implicit…
I understand although tradition hasn't stopped us from dismantling other practises that appear outdated. The fact that most western women are okay with this one sounds awfully convenient.
That's funny!
That is funny!
Did anyone ask why anyone needs to save for a ring in the first place or why that isn't totally demeaning to women and a waste of money for men ?
Shouldn't we be more worried about society making women wear a piece of ring just like a "sold" sign you'd hang on a used car? We chastise other cultures for treating women like property while this unnecessary circus goes on without much objection.
Does this take the in stadium experience into account as well because I'm not sure snow improves that experience.
If you've been tracking the rebuttals to Dobbs you'd know that even Dobbs himself doesn't believe what he wrote anymore. He has spent the past couple days backtracking in comment sections and in his Twitter.
Statistically the OP is correct. This neither means that what is outlined is unique to African Americans nor applies to all African Americans. It's simply a statement of relative probabilities that is supported by the data.
Both you and the OP are correct. Your positions aren't mutually exclusive

I have no idea why everyone is so convinced he did this on purpose. If you're trying to block a returner at least have a plan that puts you on the field impeding the runner without giving him an opportunity to simply run around you. All this is quite an ambitious scheme that had very little chance of working.
