The Vita TV is itself a reappropriation of hardware. Whose to say that Sony wont make rackable PS4 server units a year from now and sell it as a service through an App or through other hardware.
Well, I can imagine me paying Spny for all of the entertainment I pay for, and after that, access to premium quality video games on demand regardless of my hardware seems really appealing.

If a Vita can play a PS4 game from a wifi connection to a Playstation 4 then it stands to reason that this device will allow you to do something similar to any screen and game controller connected to it.

This looks like they had an original design in orange and needed a place to hide more thickness behind the screen so they added this metal clamp. Apple would do thoff opposite the would just sacrifice features until it could be as this as just the orange part of this object.
