The Vita TV is itself a reappropriation of hardware. Whose to say that Sony wont make rackable PS4 server units a year from now and sell it as a service through an App or through other hardware.

If a Vita can play a PS4 game from a wifi connection to a Playstation 4 then it stands to reason that this device will allow you to do something similar to any screen and game controller connected to it.
