I've never been a fan of column gearshifts, mostly because it represented so much of what was wrong with the malaise-era cars that I grew up with. I can't say that I'm too Gung-Ho about it for that price. It's probably easily the nicest one around, but it's not worth $5,000. It wasn't worth that when it was brand-new. That's why it didn't sell (at probably roughly that price).

I have to say TR6, for lack of roof. I've driven an MGB, and anyone over 5' 9" has no place inside of one with the roof up or with a hard roof. I'm sure that a '74 TR6 is no hot ride, but it's fun enough. I'd also guess that 50 year old wire wheels would need nearly constant maintenance.
