In one of the poorest counties in my state, you can get one apple for a little more than $2. Compare that to $1 for a box of snack cakes, or $1 for a bag of potato chips, or $1 for a crap frozen dinner, and so and so forth.....and that's one reason why so many people continue to eat processed crap day in and day out.

Most people consume way too much sodium. I'm on a low sodium diet, so I have to check the sodium on everything I consume. Even lower sodium turkey from the deli contains 340mg of sodium per 2oz, since I only consume 1500mg of sodium a day that means no deli turkey for me.
