It's not as bad as you'd think as long as you make sure you measure like a son of a bitch. Plus I just did what all the manufacturers do. Build, drive, IT DOESN'T WORK!, fix.

Take suspension beam out of car. Measure and mark all mounting brackets. Reverse all mounting locations onto other side and mark (make sure paint is already ground off so you can still see the markings when attempting to weld). Cut off all mounts. Relocate in reverse on other side of beam. Cut steering pitman arm off…

If anyone is wondering, there is a simple way to stretch the wheels on a beetle (not super beetles tho) by 15" with a cut off wheel, a welder, a grinder, and some measuring. Best part? Takes about 3 hours, and it doesn't cost a penny!!! I will descripe should someone actually care lol.

After going to Lemons the one thing I have to say is, on the costing $500 front it's complete bullshit. If you don't already have a race team and all the equipment you aren't even competitive. Most of these guys are pretty professional. I was actually pretty disappointed in that, even though I still had alot of fun.
