I would think a good bed and nice sheets, etc. would be pretty high up there. You spend a lot of time sleeping. And a decent set of towels, too.

I personally haven't seen too much of the original Yamato beyond the compilation movies, but 2199 is just a great space opera hands down. It updates a lot of the dated stuff about the original (like the ship only seeming to have one woman and the main character seeming to do every possible job at once). I say start

"Just get a good night's sleep and distract yourself with work. You'll feel better in no time! And have you tried cutting down on your gluten intake? Made SUCH a difference for me. Sadness is just your body's way of telling you that we're not meant to consume wheat!"

Confidence, and a winning sense of humor. Men don't need to be snapping off zingers left and right, or be imitating their favorite stand-up comedian. But a bit of good humor - maybe a quick joke, or some well-mannered sarcasm - can go a long way.

I've been meaning to do this myself. Good suggestion!

I got super worried when the bear turned up. Fuck, I thought, it's going to be one of those animes. But nope. Not one shit given. Hey bear, what's up? Oh, nothing, just running around with my robot claw hand and also I'm a giant bear with pants on. Oh, cool, see ya!

Good tool, and I agree - you have a choice: You can either learn something over again, or take advantage of a tool that's built to make your life easier. That's the whole point of this site - making things easier so you can work the way you want to. Good tip.

As Germany should know, the US doesn't let a little water stop them from advancing.

I haven't read the article yet, but if the picture is any indication, the most important trait is a good wireless signal.

When I was in 4th grade, I became a kickball legend. I was playing 2nd base, with runners on 1st and 2nd base, with no outs. Anyway, up comes the opposing team captain and he kicks a screaming line drive right to me (out #1). I catch the ball chest high, center mass. I pivot slightly to my right and notice the the

This seems like a very "it's not a bug, it's a feature" moments.

Nope. It's always fine not to tip someone. Your pay isn't my problem, nor is your conscious decision to opt for a lower-paying job packaging to-go orders instead of waiting on tables. Don't like the result of your decision? Change it.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Same here. The only things I ever put on my desktop are files I only need briefly (e.g. installers), only because having them on my desktop reminds me to remove them as soon as I'm done with them.

The newer version of App2SD might fix that; it allows you to move (most) downloaded apps to the SD card; apps that run at startup or hook the system (like an alarm clock, that has to run all the time in order to wake the system to sound an alarm) won't work with it, but most other apps do.

I can't live without Bartender. It takes all my (many) menu bar apps and hides the icon until it's trying to notify me. Plus it lets me hide the system icons I never use there (like my profile name).
