I could imagine Miyamoto making a game in the same vein as Metroid Prime or MYST / Riven - something very detailed, with minutiae that you would need to explore / discover / interact with to progress, and little easter eggs all along the way.

Yep. I have a wireless sensor bar, and wiimotion plus controllers hooked up via bluetooth. Apart from one or two graphical issues, that got fixed by the time I finished it (Sand Areas would have textures missing all the time), it was just as good as playing on the wii. Except a lot prettier :D

This one might be more in season though:

Well I played through all of Skyward Sword without many hiccups, and the Demise fight in 1080p was just glorious, so I'm hoping TLS will work on it as well.

3.0 Fixed a whole lot of stuff. I'm hoping by the time the US edition comes out it'll be smoothed out. I should try the PAL version since I have the US one pre-ordered just to see how it's working now.

My dolphin emulator is ready :D

Less action / more scenery, crisper / brighter color schemes, people interacting and main characters, yep looks like you've hit the nail on the head.

2 Got rid of that, and while I loved having a timer as a challenge, 2 just made it so much more welcoming to play, because you had infinite time to explore and play around.

Exactly. My Lumia 900 camera is alright for quick shots, but I still carry a Canon powershot with me at all times because it's small, but having it all in my Lumia 900 would be a godsend.

Pokmin 2 had challenge areas, and no time limit. I'd recommend trying it, as it's amazing.

3 will have new captains, so apart from mechanics and how to play better, you won't need 1 and 2. 1 and 2 are connected story wise though, and incredibly fun. They do have Wii editions, so you can probably play them on the WiiU.

Dear Miyamoto:

That's what Miyamoto is going for, I think. That sense of hurried urgency the first time around, then a bit more careful planning and skilled playing the next time through. It's one of those games that rarely gets old for me.

It didn't, because there was so much more to do. Pikmin 2 had like 12 times the amount of content Pikmin 1 had. It's one of the few games I'm proud to say I 100% completed, even perfecting all of the challenge stages, back in the day.

Replying so I can check this out when I get home. Spoilers be damned, I need my Sly fix. :D

This generation's Twilight Princess. Makes sense. Also explains why the game looks great, but not as good as some of the other stylized wii games I've been seeing.

If you stick to tay and the regular open threads, it's an awesome place. It's the news articles' threads you have to take with a grain of salt :p

Well, we are getting Pikmin 3.

Hey all,
