P71 CV's where mostly a step up in suspension, brakes and alternator. Though my understanding is that they had a police-specific ECU strategy that gave it a marginal bump in power while also making it better suited for the harsh duty the car will undoubtedly see.

What you're hearing is the whine of the gears in the transmission. Racing gearboxes often employ straight-cut gears in lieu of helical ones. This makes the trans stronger, but noisy.

At least the Mustang is piping actual induction sounds into a diaphragm in the dash. Yes, it gives you the impression that the car is louder that it is otherwise, but it isn't synthesized fakery.

Were I to do this I would need to source the horns from a Lincoln. I'm the kind of purist that doesn't want GM stuff on my Ford.

Louisiana. I live on a fairly curvy 10-mile stretch of it. It's a local favorite of bikers. I've gotten pretty good with it driving up and down it all the time, even in my Explorer.

Seen road-course cars use then to straighten out the aero over the rear which in turn helps downforce (straighter, more consistent air over the spoiler). But on any plain-old car the aero and mileage gain would be marginal at best.
