I don't know why, but I really want one of these now. The Town Ace is amazing.
It still looks happy, just in a different way. A 'happy to kick your ass kind of way'.
Headrest speakers are back!
Unfortunately I don't think (from what I've seen coming down the pipe for one of the other motorcade vehicle updates) they are going to downsize any.
The wheel arches are kind of a mess. Flat bands or flared edges, not both. A glaring flaw for a wheel arch tweaker like myself.
Halogen's simply don't cut it anymore. If you're buying a modern car, you need modern headlights.
As was en vogue for the time, the engine came with five valves per cylinder and, among other things, absolutely gorgeous intakes.

Mazdaspeed, stat.
That's a proper SV roadster! I'm about to be on my third (dedicated track rat incoming), but yours reminds me of my first. Crashed so many times it ended up with nothing but the bare essentials. Grafted ZX6 front end. Good times. The Miata of motorcycles!
I'll have another one day, and it too will be SMG like my first. You just have to learn its disco-transmission-robot language/feelings/moodswings/circadian rhythm and you are GTG for daily stuff. Shouldn't this be a NP or CP?
A front-drive entry-level car will appeal to buyers who want that Bimmer badge and image but could care less about performance.
I didn't realize they do the tests at the good old 75/80 drag strip. A hop skip and a jump from my front door!
