You would be wrong. The drivers are fine, overhead being only problem. (Multi gpu is not good tho) I got the fastest card out when I got 290x it was destroying titan and 780 ti was not faster really and now 290x is faster then 780 ti in recent games.

Mainstream ended jan 2015 and extended will end 20. So they will for sure patch most critical security flaws but that is about the extent they will be doing to support it.

7xx supports some feature levels of dx12 actually. But it will help out none the less. It seems there are numerous advantages even for older cards, been reading on my usual tech enthusiast forum lately a lot what it is doing. I don’t have w10 yet but been using modded drivers from there.
