Shape of the tank does not matter, size does. Strobing and changing light colors should not affect anything really they get used to that faster then to anything else. As we know water reflects all sorts of colors and sometimes in funny ways.

Fish are actually pretty good with lightning changes. As you can imagine light reflections on water from the sun. Loud noises on the other hand can cause stress and of course lack of cover.

Yes there is a trick in to it tho, easiest way to run really nice graphics on browser is to use subset of javascript performance is awesome with really small requirements on hardware. Ue3 already ran with that nicely on browser.
