What a shame. That would have been fantastic. It’s hard to fault Bethesda though.

1. Arby’s Bronco Berry sauce

I did play a few - off the top of my head, Maplestory, Dungeon Fighter Online, and Runescape. Curiously, although two of those had gachapon mechanics, none of the three had quite the same setup for loot boxes. In fact, I know that Maplestory at least integrated it a few years down the road, and DFO likely did too

1. Silly cosmetic items (in large numbers) as drops or microtransactions (TF2)

Valve used to be my favorite devs. I came home from high school every day to play Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, or Portal. I remember when they teased Portal 2 and used indie games as a platform to do it - earning potatoes on your profile through doing weird, oddly specific things (like standing at an exact X, Y

On Long Island, I was offered a small apartment without internet for $1,200 a month, plus I’d have to rake every fall. That was, and still is, considered a good deal.

Lemme get a uhhhh...

...but if you want to do stealth missions with other players (which, as I’m sure you know, is useful for more cable ties, more ECM jammers, usage of security cameras, multiple vantage points), voice chat is pretty much required unless you all use text chat. Solo stealthing missions is much more (and pointlessly)

That’s awesome. I was just playing through this again the other day and was thinking about how it probably didn’t sell too well and wouldn’t get a sequel, even though it’s a pretty good game. I would definitely buy a sequel to it.

I don’t mind paying more for games. The fact that the price has stuck at $60 despite the colossal increase in the size of teams, cost of tools, salaries, and inflation means something’s gotta give.

Jason, you missed the big controversy - there were fifteen weapons that were supposed to be added to the loot pool, but players were going through engrams and didn’t get them. They finally put their foot down and asked Bungie to clarify whether or not they’re actually in the game. After a few hours, Bungie said that

Awesome to see TWEWY getting attention from Nintendo, hopefully if it does well they’ll consider a sequel or a spin-off. Art, music, and story were all fantastic.

Minimum heat laws can be abysmal. I lived in a university in NY with a very old construction. Air was on heat, neutral, or cold. As per law, they would switch it over to heat usually in mid-September, and the HVACs would leak ambient heat. I happened to live on a 14th floor, so my room would be in the 90s, sometimes

Me too.

I never said the Switch was a failure - I said it disappointed me. I think it’s remarkable on a technical level, but my Wii U sees more use because of Smash 4.

Good point!

I appreciate the insight. By that measure (or even my own, I was expecting them to announce it maybe 3 months in advance) it won’t make the Switch’s first year. I think the longer we go without it, the more possibility we’ll just see Smash 5 - which could take years - and last we heard, Sakurai’s arm was still hurting

I will personally consider the Switch a disappointment until we see a Smash title on it. Fans have been asking for melee HD or a port of Smash 4, which shouldn’t be terribly difficult to do. It’s why my Wii U is used more than the Switch.

I really don’t enjoy “conceptual” stuff like this. I can respect Kojima’s work but none of this crap is logically connected, it’s just “how can we blow peoples’ minds next, what would be really creepy or strange to do?”It’s definitely creepy, but I don’t see any indication that this is going to be a coherent universe,

When I was younger, I had a thing about reading video game guides for games I didn’t own. Devil May Cry was one of those. I thought the enemy design was so cool, and I created my own little backstories for a good number of them. I always thought the game sounded really cool, so I’ll probably pick it up this time
