I love Nintendo's games (to a point - Mario games are beyond beating a dead horse), but I don't love having to buy gimmicky hardware and, of course, end up paying extra for those gimmicks that I never actually wanted.

"Yeah, we're pretty much just all about the casual audience."
And they sold 6 million less (iirc) Wii U consoles than they thought they would. Seriously, they sold 1/4th of what they estimated they would...and that was a low estimate, at that. I hope that seven year old Wii "warchest" had enough left in it to cover that.
I really want to buy and play this. I really do.
Ugh. I didn't finish reading, but this is just sick. The amount of shit that women still go through is utterly appalling. I truly feel sorry for her.
Actually, I'd pay $10 for it. Source: I've paid between $0 and $18 for apps, with plenty of numbers and satisfied purchases throughout the scale. Oh, and I actually know what I'm willing to do better than an internet commentator who has never met me before.
$10. Easily. I've paid $18 for a port of The World Ends with You, and $8 for an indie company's spin on a Wind Waker-esque game.
From inexperienced devs, yeah. Meanwhile, Oceanhorn, Icycle, and Bit.Trip Run (to name a few) all have excellent controls, whether they're virtual buttons or gesture-based.
Three cheers for civility! I especially like the phrase "dumb heads."
That's an disingenuine simplification, and you know it. People have been asking for Nintendo classics for years upon years, and the best they can do is "Okay, we can probably let you play little mini-games to advertise our upcoming games. Which, by the way, are for our consoles."
I don't even care, because Metroid Fusion.
Demos. You're going to give us...demos. You're going to research and program for iOS just to release demos. Do you know how much I'd pay for a Metroid Fusion iOS port? Or how much you'd rake in from porting Pokemon: Yellow? Nintendo, you truly are clueless...
What I've backed so far:
Yes, I know how sharks work, thank you. I assumed they would only remove the top fin.
It's an excellent question. I hadn't even heard about Flappy Bird until I read Bernstein's take on it this morning, largely because the free app charts on iTunes are a joke. While the paid charts can be taken as an indicator of a popular, well-made app or game, the free charts are home to oddball titles like 100 PICS…
Agreed with you up until I saw "unless they use the actual animal." Do you think people aren't killing enough sharks these days? That's like saying "Ugh, I wish poachers would kill the whole rhino instead of just taking its horn."
Ah - I should have read the end of the article, ahaha. Thanks!
X-2 has been re-released? Oh god, I'm getting old...
"I'm commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel!"
That started in Mass Effect 1.
Hostel reference? +1.
