The game came out around the same time as when people start to treat the word "Nintendo" as a dirty word, so I dare say if this had been Nintendo exclusive the game would have flopped.

My theory is that every post-2000s Disney movie is a spinoff of Frasier.

This is incredible. I've been on Twitter for three years and never noticed spelling or grammar this good.

Crack teams will be at work deciding just what Nintendo characters would be suitable to hang above the cribs of babies and infants.

I guess they make good points... but who seriously buys a Nintendo console for online multiplayer experiences? When I think Nintendo I think of local multiplayer goodness, something that's sorely missing on the other two consoles.

There's an art to designing a good user interface. Some companies, like Netflix, Apple and Google, know this. I get the impression Valve...doesn't. At least not all the time.
