I don’t get the Search For Spock hate. Granted, there were some misfires, like recasting Saavik (they should’ve just written her out after Alley bailed). But it’s a pretty decent space opera, confidently directed by Nimoy, with some very nice ‘80s practical effects and a great James Horner score.

Eh, the new Trek movies are fine. Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Beyond are both perfectly entertaining movies. As for Into Darkness, well it’s just carrying on the tradition of Trek never being able to make two good movies in a row.
