Meh. I’ve never had the impression that Adam Carolla is a guy I’d want to hang out with. I know he’s a car-guy, but “The Car Show” was garbage and I got the distinct impression that he was a bit of a dick from watching it. I never got the impression that the other hosts were much more than accessories and that he

Sorry but Adam Carolla just acts like a know it all douche most of the time. Super annoying person

For those of us who don’t get it..... ?

I think it’s silly to say you should never take the voucher ... a more realistic way to put it would be “risk versus reward”. Yes, you can risk being involuntarily bumped and get a nice bonus, or take the safe route and the more sure thing with the smaller voucher.

I used to work in the Revenue Management department of a major airline. The compensation for volunteers was tuned to elicit the number of volunteers needed because the involuntary compensation is so onerous. Anyone without a seat assignment on their boarding pass might be better off not volunteering (they’re the first

I don’t know about this. I feel like volunteering for a $400 voucher is better than sitting back and waiting for a 1% chance to get $1,200.

I disagree. I believe this is a situation where a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. You will not get that great benefit for involuntary bumping when the airlines, as usual gets enough people to volunteer and, if you are not one of those volunteers, you will end up with nothing. It just depends upon how flexible

This threaded hole next to the nut is your key to not punching yourself in the face with the steering wheel. You take the tool pictured below and thread the bolts into the holes and place the black piece inside the loose nut.

Me neither. I pretty much scroll past all super car content. In fact, I was just thinking yesterday that there are too many supercars at my local cars and coffee, and not enough charismatic old beaters.

I do not lust for supercars.

yet another preventable tragedy

You need a hobby.

just curious, what is your response to people who, like me, will argue that a car is a tool, not an investment, and don’t particularly care a great deal if it loses (reasonable) value in depreciation? surely there’s nothing wrong with financing a car at 2%, if you can put down a large enough down payment so that the

No I’m not. Because the original author did a fine job. He bought a super cheap sports car on a lark that had a few gremlins and decided they were enough to warrant getting rid of the car.

“Enthusiast - a person who is highly interested in a particular activity or subject.”

I already own a ‘47 Chevy Sport Coupe, ‘71 El Camino, and ‘84 Grand National... two of which I have daily driven for years at a time, the ‘71 and the ‘84. Care to tell me why I am not an enthusiast who has earned my stripes and now needs a car that is pretty much guaranteed to get me to and from work? (I actually have

You're good for collectors too! You increase the value of their gently used bone-stock car because nobody wants to take a chance with a clapped out mod mobile.

The Xtreme was a sweet truck c’mon now

That was an awesome truck for it’s time.
