Felt like posting something similar. Ignoring all the technological appeal, I feel that design-wise Lamborghini has become a Range Rover of the super-car world. A meter of wealth and status, relatively uninspiring (not to say boring, but quite close).

Dude, the stop-start function is to save the environment, not gas. I too liked the previous gen round light facia more.

Because, well, italians... they don't go anywhere without coffe. And rightfully so.

Saw that lineup in Geneva. Makes me sad it isn't happening.

The aquamarine needles are gone - nooooooooooooooooooo. (the previous gen's dash lighting had the best color - easily focusable and easy on the eyes at night)

I hated the shiny sony stereo, but the angel-wing layout was really clear and simple. Too bad they've moved the cancel/resume button on the up-side (probably because people didn't manage to find it behind the wheel) : +1 for discoverability -1 for usability. Overall look is cleaner and nicer though.

I thought I'd seen it before, but that one was an XJS.

I believe it went something along the lines of "Give us all your nukes, we'll come help when you need us...... noooot."

My point exactly.

Now playing

Wow, I knew this would make a good troll here

Wow, no significant design changes in a couple of decades.

At first came the 4 door coupé, now a 3 door hatch is a sedan?

I always loved the 'curious/you what?' look of those things.

Since military vehicles also use public roads, the LEDs are needed - because legal requirement coming into force in the EU, that makes DRLs mandatory.

I've got nothing against the Cobalt, I love a honest cheap car. I just pointed out that the temperature readout in my opinion should be where you expect it to, is all. All my criticism was directed at that one peculiarity (the Astra and now the Cobalt are the only cars I know to have it 'missing'), not against the car

I have no personal experience with the ecotec. If I remember correctly, the issue was that the on-board computer kept saying that the coolant level was low, even though it was topped up, and the temp light was on. Maybe he didn't know to look for the readout in the menus, dunno. I still prefer a needle in the cluster.

No experience with the Cobalt, but since it uses the same engine as the Astra, I made an assumption. Which might have been false, since I don't own one My only info comes from my father in law who does have one. The system packed up and the light therefore did not give true readings anymore, no info about the reading

Except when the light starts giving false readings, then a gauge is the more reliable thing to have.

You know it'll be a Tuareg/Cayenne underneath with an angry engine. Not bad.

This is what you get, when you outgrow the MINIs.
