Not at all.

Anything as long as you have robot ears?

Boots and Pants and Boots and Pants and Boots and Pants and Boots and Pants.

I'm very wary of any game by SquareEnix nowadays. Does this one have decent writing? I can't think of a single SquareEnix game in the last five years or so that had plot/dialogue that made sense.

So would I.

It really picks up in the second season where the secondary characters like Pam, Ray and Cheryl start to shine.

To be fair, he sorta is boring.

I'm just wondering where the taste is in X3. :P

Eh... Dead Rising 2 did it. That was actually fun even though it would've made a lot more sense to be on the disc of the actual game instead of an xbl arcade title.

Not really?

Well.. at least Winamp got saved from being shut down.

Starscream was one of the few bots in the films that had a coherent design and was familiar territory. Jet to robot is something Hasbro/Takara have been doing for years. Additionally, his transformation was one they actually put focus on in the first film. His leader figure and RoTF Leader Prime were both highlights

It was just another example of a good idea executed by people with horrendous taste. Horrible taste in 'character development', plot, 'twists', and character design. They did manage decent level design and gameplay though. The light/dark system was rather pointless both in terms of narrative and gameplay.

Don't blame Hasbro for movie studio designs.

Probably.

So this is normally where I'd pull out a Fifth Element 'Disappointed' GIF. Sadly, I can't find it in me to put forth the effort.

It would be made by Ninja Theory.

Well.. they're more about the U.S. military beating the snot out of tons of giant robots while the good giant robots fight a few people. There will be a gratuitous scene where Optimus (or Bumblebee) kills a buncha Decepticons really quick via decapitation and stabbing but other than that, it'll mostly be humans

...I take it you've never actually watched a Transformer show?

The difference is that Pacific Rim was specifically designed to fall into the Giant Anime Robot and Kaiju genre. Everything it did was in a shout out to the genre. It had random Japanese, rocket punches, blazing swords, lasers, big damn hero moments, etc. Then there was the soundtrack which was pretty amazing.
