Minecraft is an exception, not the rule. Steam allows for easy installation of user-created content as well. This lets games like Scribblenauts and Skyrim have even larger mod communities. The main question to ask in this case is "Would Minecraft even be so successful if Valve hadn't injected new life into PC gaming?"

Sadly can't compare to the original.

I might have liked it more if I played it on PC first but the changed themes, plot, and 'free' combat system were real turnoffs for me. I felt like the game's designers focused more on making it appeal towards a late teen crowd than prior fans of the series. The characters, setting, music, plot, etc were all... I

Cept Shazam. Talk about an underutilized and totally jobbed character.

I dislike this game and wish it would be forgotten.

Oh I understand that completely, but if the Kickstarter group was actually in talks with someone in Capcom over it and another portion of Capcom acted against it, I wouldn't be surprised.
